SummerTide Theatre presents Jubilee: Songs of and about Alabama

SummerTide Theatre is returning to Gulf Shores for its 10th anniversary season with an exciting, world-premiere musical revue, Jubilee: Songs of and About Alabama. The show, conceived by director Edmond Williams, musical director Raphael Crystal and choreographer Stacy Alley, promises a family-friendly trip across the state, showcasing Alabama's rich musical heritage.
Alabama has inspired songwriters from country, rock and roll, blues and many others. The show spans decades and genres in capturing the musical landscape of the state from the Gulf Coast to Huntsville. Audiences will enjoy perennial favorites like "Stars Fell on Alabama" and "Sweet Home Alabama" along with some compositions written specifically for the show.
Jubilee, will run Friday, May 31, to Friday, June 28, 2013, with performances every Tuesday through Sunday evening at 8:00PM at the George C. Meyer Performing Arts Center. Tickets may be purchased online 24/7 by visiting SummerTide.org . Tickets may also be purchased by calling the Gulf Shores Box Office at 251/968-6721 starting May 27th. In Gulf Shores, the Jubilee box office will be open Tuesday through Sunday, from 12:00 Noon to 8:00PM. Tickets prices are $20.00 for adults and $15.00 for children under 12. Groups of 10 or more are $15.00 each. The George C. Meyer Performing Arts Center, home to the South Baldwin Community Theatre, is located at 2022 West 2nd Street in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
