Dr. Michael Stevenson, Ph.D. and P.E., is president and CEO of Engineering Systems Inc., or ESI, and will be giving the inaugural Dr. Richard C. Bradt Metallurgical and Materials Lecture Series.

His talk, "Structure, Properties, Design and Performance: The Role of Fundamental Engineering Principles in Major Accident Investigations" will be in 1013 South Engineering Research Center.

Stevenson specializes in the performance and analysis of engineering materials and systems in a variety of applications, and has conducted complex, multidisciplinary failure investigations pertaining to buried infrastructure systems, structural failures, vehicles, and industrial and consumer products.
