By the Tony Award-winning authors if Falsettos, A New Brain is an energetic, sardonic, yet comical musical about a composer during a medical emergency. Gordon collapses into his lunch and wakes up in the hospital surrounded his maritime-enthusiast lover, his mother, a co-worker, the doctor, and the nurses. But they are also accompanied by Mr. Bungee, a frog from the children's television show he's been writing a song for. While this large green character and his unfinished work haunts him throughout his medical ordeal, Gordon soon discovers his tumor has allowed him to compose the songs he yearns to produce.
